The Star Maps are a series of unique works on paper inspired by a group of sculptures called Ancient Satellite Fragments. One of the Ancient Satellites I found on Engineers Beach near Memphis on the Mississippi river had a map on it that showed where all the satellites were coming from. Far from the “Milky Way” in a distant part of the universe is a galaxy called “Another Way.” In this galaxy there is a solar system, similar to our own except that rather than the third planet from the sun like Earth, it is the fifth planet from their sun where these satellites originate.
